The Biological Fly (latin: Ophyra Aenescens) can be found in the wild and lives in balance with nature. When it and its qualities were discovered it was captured for breeding in labs. There has been no alteratation after Miljø Fluen started breeding The Biological Fly in great numbers.
The Biological Fly is used for pig-breeders who have slurry-systems. We deliver you the Biological Flies in breatheable bags which contain both pupae and larvae. All you have to do is hang them in your stable and make sure that the flies are able to leave the bag as they hach.
This special fly is breeded and delivered to the client by Miljø Fluen. The larvae pupate and from the pupae the Biological Flies emerges. They immideatly seek to the nearest slurry-channel in which they settle down. They lay their eggs in the surface of the liquid manure and their larvae eats the larvae of the stable-fly. The Biological Fly is much smaller than the ordinary stable-fly and it tends to seek towards dark and damp places and is less agressive. Because of this quality it won't just replace the ordinary stable-fly and thereby create a similar problem. It solves the problem instead. Furthermore it leeds a canibalistic lifestyle, so when there aren't any more stable-flies left it starts to feed on its own kind.
The flies are delivered to the client as fresh as possible, so that the hatching happens where it is needed, namely in the stable. Miljø Fluen provides you with bags of flies which each covers 100 square meters. Of cause we create an individual plan of deliveries for your stable so that we can get to the bottom of your problem in the best possible way. After a short-term start-up with 2-3 deliveries shortly after each other, it is only nesessary to insert Biological Flies eproximatly every 7-10th week and all you have to do is place the bags in your stable. The Biological Flies do the rest - it really doesn't get any easier than this.
The Biological Fly is also suitable for other types of stables. With the clients description of the stable our service-consultants are able to create a delivery-plan which is suitable for other types of stables.
